Leader North America (LNA) provides gas, electric, water, and hydraulic driven PPV fans and blowers for all your Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) or Positive Pressure Attack (PPA) needs, including overhaul and rehab.
All LNA PPV and PPA fans and blowers are available with your choice of Honda or Vanguard gas engines or 1.5 to 2hp single, duel, and variable speed electric motors that operate on standard household 15 amp, 115 volt, 60 Hz circuits.

Advanced Straight Stream Air Flow
The advanced “Easy Pow’Air Technology” of the LNA ventilator uses “Straight Stream Air Flow” to produce higher velocity air movement, greater PPV pressures (+30%), and larger “out the back door” air volumes (starting at 17,000+ CFM and upward!) – much greater performance than conventional fans and blowers using the antiquated “cone of air” principal. More air off the PPV fan and at a higher velocity though the ventilation entry results in additional entrained air to “seal” the entry and produce greater volume and pressure inside the structure. Greater pressure and volume at “the front door” forces more contaminants (CFM) “out the back door”. Ventilation is accomplished easier, quicker, with less training using Leader Straight Stream Air Flow Technology!
Construction & Technology Features
Duel Two-Layer Shroud Design shields the high-tech fan impellers and allows for superior air flow and air stream control. The full-wrap, 1″ steel tubing, “roll cage” frame protects the shrouds and all other components of the PPV Ventilator.
Extendable Handle – An ergonomically designed, easy-to-raise, full-width, flip-up handle quickly extends and can be operated with one hand, making transportation easier.
Automatic 10° Tilt with raised Handle
Lift handle and fan is auto tilted to +10° for operation. Handle is auto locked for towing or pushing - no buttons to push – no knobs to tighten.
Raising the handle automatically tilts fan to the optimum 10° angle for maximum Straight Stream Air Flow Technology performance in most operations. An additional Adjustment Knob allows a tilt of 20° degrees when operating on a surface below level of the entry port.
A “cone of air seal” is no longer a requirement with Straight Stream Air Flow Technology, meaning the Leader PPV ventilator can be positioned 6, 8, 12, even 18 feet back from the entry to the structure. A second 20 degree tilt setting allows the use of the Leader Ventilator even further back at the foot of steps or below windows.
Variable and greater “set-back” distance from the entry point means less noise inside the structure, more space for maneuverability for firefighters, and less training in “proper positioning” required of conventional PPV Fans and Blowers. Proper “Set Back” and the “Cone of Air” are critical in the performance of conventional fans and blowers but not with the LNA Easy Pow’Air Straight Steam Airflow Technology!
Wheels – No Brakes needed!
Large, hard-rubber tires with solid wheels are standard and do not deflate when pierced by shape objects. The wheels provide easy manipulations of the PPV Fan up and over LDH, curbs, stair steps, and soft soil. There are no brakes to lock down as the Blower sits firmly on four, robust rubber pads and the wheels do not touch the ground until the PPV fan is tilted back for forward or backward movement.
Stand Alone Operation
Leader ventilators are vibration free for standalone operation. They will not move on wet or slick surfaces. Superior frame engineering, balanced weight distribution, and solid rubber feet eliminate movement due to vibration.
Direct Drive
All Leader positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fans feature direct drive design. Impellers are engineered precisely for the horsepower and torque curve of each engine to eliminate the need for belt or gear driven models.
Aviation Style Impellers
Composite Fiberglass reinforced impellers are engineered precisely for each engine for maximum RPM and air movement. Lightweight so more of the power of the engine is used to move air rather than turn a heavy, bulky impeller. Impellers are impervious to ultraviolet rays, extreme heat, and cold.
Aluminum Full Wrap-Around Frame
Lightweight yet strong aluminum frame provides 360° roll-cage protection – full protection of shrouds, impeller, and even the motor from external damage. Ergonomically designed with Safety in mind, the frame provides many lift points and precise balance for easy deployment and storage by one person.

Our 16.5″ model ventilators fit nicely on most fire apparatus yet deliver more air than much larger and heavier competitive fan models.

And at only 22″ H by 22″ W by 20″ D, the 16.5″ Leader Ventilator fits nicely in most apparatus compartments and is easily deployed by one person.
